Mayor and Councillors congratulate acting Commissioner Hicken

His Worship Mayor Ubraj Narine and Councillors of the City of Georgetown extend congratulations to Mr Clifton Hicken on his recent appointment as acting Commissioner of Police.

The Mayor noted that he met Mr Hicken only recently to collaborate with the City Constabulary and provide support to its efforts in combating crime in and around the markets. This collaboration has already seen the deployment of ranks of the Guyana Police Force and the City Constabulary benefitting from strategic operations.

His Worship indicated that he is confident that the relationship will continue and looks forward to formalizing the engagement with a Memorandum of Understanding.
