Solid Waste Management Director, Mr. Walter Narine leads Cleanup Effort!
In a dedicated push to maintain the cleanliness of Georgetown, Solid Waste Management Director, Mr. Walter Narine, managed the cleanup activity within the vicinity of Croal Street to the Plaisance Car Park and along the Avenue of the Republic to Water Streets environs.
The activity which started at 4:00am, involved Mr. Narine and his team removing waste and debris, ensuring these key areas remain clean, safe, and welcoming for all citizens and visitors.
This effort is part of the ongoing commitment to improve the city’s sanitation and urban environment.
“By focusing on these busy thoroughfares, we’re reinforcing our collective responsibility to keep our city clean,” said Narine. “Every effort counts, and it’s a true reflection of the pride we have for our country and our communities.”
The cleanup campaign is a part of a broader initiative under the #LetsKeepItClean and #PrideofCountry movements, which continue to encourage civic responsibility, promote environmental stewardship, and inspire citizens to actively participate in keeping their surroundings pristine.
Let us all do our part in maintaining a cleaner, healthier environment for Georgetown!
