Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the vacant position of Grave Diggers (Cemetery Section) – City Engineer Department.

Nature of Scope of Position

  1. Dig graves as per specification (Earth Burials).
  2. Dig foundations to erect concrete tombs.
  3. Open and clean tombs to be reused.
  4. Assist in the exhumation of bodies (Dig up graves).
  5. Prepare and clean burial sites for burial.
  6. Any other duty that may be assigned.
    Job Specification
  • Sound Secondary School education.
  • Able-bodied and possess the ability to handle use loose tool such as shovel, spade, pitch fork, etc.
  • Willing to work beyond the normal working hours.
    The successful candidate must be able-bodied, aged 18-44 years old and willing to work based on the scheduled operation of the City Engineer Department.
