EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI)

PROCUREMENT OF DUMPSTER(S) FOR THE MAYOR AND COUNCILLORS OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN.

1. INVITATION

The Mayor and Councillors of the City of Georgetown hereby invites expressions of interest from qualified suppliers for the procurement of industrial-grade dumpster(s) to support Municipal Waste Management operations.

2. BACKGROUND

The City of Georgetown is seeking to enhance its waste management infrastructure by acquiring reliable, durable dumpsters for various municipal facilities and public areas. This procurement is part of our commitment to maintaining clean, sustainable urban environment for our residents.

3. SCOPE OF REQUIREMENTS

3.1 Primary Requirements:

Detailed specification of the required dumpster is hereto attached and, should correspond with the following guidelines:

  • Quantity: 1-3 dumpsters (exact number to be determined based on proposals)
  • Capacity: The dumpster should reflect a measurement of 18 ft. long, 8ft wide and 4ft 6 inches high.
  • Material: Heavy-duty steel construction with corrosion-resistant coating
  • Features: Lockable lid, drainage system, reinforced bottom
  • Mobility: Metal roller/wheels to allow for easy mounting of the dumpster on a hooklift truck. 

3.2 Additional Considerations:

  • Environmental compliance and sustainability features
  • Ease of maintenance and cleaning
  • Weather resistant suitable for tropical climate
  • Compliance with local waste management regulations

4. SUPPLIER REQUIREMENTS

Interested suppliers must demonstrate:

  • Valid business registration and tax compliance certificates
  • Ability to provide warranty and after-sales support
  • Local presence or authorized representative in Guyana
  • Previous experience with municipal or government contracts (preferred)

5. SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

5.2 Technical Specifications:

  • Detailed product specifications and dimensions
  • Material certifications and quality standards

5.3 Commercial Information:

  • Pricing structure (unit cost, delivery, installation)
  • Payment terms proposed
  • Delivery timeline

6. EVALUATION CRITERIA

Expressions of interest will be evaluated based on:

  • Technical Compliance (40%)
  • Price Competitiveness (30%)
  • Supplier Experience and Capability (20%)
  • Local Support and Warranty (10%)

7. SUBMISSION DETAILS

7.2 Closing Date and Time:

August 13, 2025, 2:00 PM

Late submissions will not be considered.

8. TERMS AND CONDITIONS

8.1 General Terms:

  • This EOI does not constitute a commitment to purchase
  • The City reserves the right to reject any or all submissions
  • No payment will be made for preparation of EOI responses
  • All submissions become property of the City of Georgetown

8.2 Confidentiality:

All information provided will be treated as confidential and used solely for evaluation purposes.

8.3 Validity Period:

EOI responses must remain valid for 90 days from the closing date.

9. NEXT STEPS

Following evaluation of EOI responses, shortlisted suppliers may be invited to:

  • Provide detailed quotations
  • Participate in site visits or product demonstrations
  • Engage in formal tender processes
