Prequalification for 2025

The Mayor and City Council of Georgetown is in the process of pre-qualifying Contractors and Service Providers for the year 2025. The aim of this exercise is to pre-qualify Contractors to execute the Council’s Projects for the year 2025. Pre-qualification of Contractors will be done for the following:

  1. Lot A – Major Works/Services
    a. Civil
    b. Electrical
    c. Mechanical
    d. Consultancy (Training, HRM, Financial Analysis, Evaluation, ICT, Urban Planning)
    e. Solid waste disposal
    f. Operation of public convenience
    g. Cleaning of Markets
  2. Lot B – Minor Works
    a. Weeding, tree trimming, and landscaping
    b. Civil works
    c. Healthcare – sanitary services
    d. Catering Services
    e. Air condition installation and maintenance
    f. Maintenance of buildings/bridges
    g. Maintenance of drains/canals
    h. Recovery services (removal of vehicles)
    i. Termite/Pest treatment and extermination services
    j. Road repairs and maintenance
    k. Land survey services
    l. Maintenance of machines and equipment
  3. Lot C – Supply of Goods
    a. Petrol, oil, and lubricant
    b. Stationery (print/nonprint) and office supplies/equipment
    c. Personal protective equipment
    d. Vehicle spares
    e. Janitorial supplies and cleansers
    f. Vehicles, machines, and equipment
    g. Teas and toiletries
  4. Lot D – Cleaning of Markets – New Vendors’ Mall, Stabroek Bazaar, Russell
    Square, Guyana Fire Station, Stelling View
    a. Cleaning and removing of refuse
    b. Washing and Sanitizing
    c. Cleaning and clearing of internal and external drains
    d. Desilting of internal and external drains
    e. Clearing and removal/carting away of all pallets and other obstructions
    (Only the Category for which you are applying should be labeled on the envelope).
    Documents will be available from Wednesday, January 29, 2025 between 8:30 to 16:00hrs
    (Mondays – Thursdays) and 8:30hrs to 15:00hrs (Fridays) upon payment of a non-refundable
    fee of two thousand dollars (GYD$2,000). The method of payment shall be cash.
  5. Applications must be submitted by 16:00 hours (4:00 pm), Tuesday, February 25, 2025, and should be placed in an envelope bearing no identity of the applicant and marked at the top left-hand corner of the envelope:
